THE GIFT OF GIVING

Everyone answered the call and came together in typical Verona fashion to make a difference in the lives of children. Thank you to all of the volunteers and people who helped with donations for the VHS Annual Toy Drive.

The VHS Student Council Toy Drive was a huge success where our students visited Hawkins Street School and Salome Urena Elementary School. We were able to distribute over 800 toys to the two schools because of your generosity. VHS Student Council Advisor Mr. Thai shared that we had such an amazing community response that we were able to provide gifts to 3 additional schools in the area: Peshine Avenue School, Camden Street School, Dr. William H. Horton Elementary School. A very special thank you to Mr. Thai, Mrs. Barone, Dr. Smith, and Mrs. Sluck who spent countless hours coordinating this magical event with our student body.
