Dear Verona Public Schools Community Members,
Our school district has achieved an impressive transformation of our buildings and facilities over the past several months. The design of our educational spaces have been thoughtfully created to make dreams a reality for our students and staff. We are extremely pleased with the pace of work and quality craftsmanship. We have several projects being completed after school hours to avoid disruption to in-person learning, typical for school construction projects of this large scale.
We continue to improve our facilities for our students, staff, and community members. We still have more progress to make ahead of us. The global pandemic impacted a number of projects, but we have been successful moving toward the completion of school construction. Window replacement at H.B. Whitehorne Middle School and F.N. Brown Elementary School is slated for this December and installation will occur after student dismissal. The HVAC project for our elementary schools and H.B. Whitehorne Middle School are currently in negotiations with contracting firms and the District hopes to have a status update for the public in the near future.
Construction updates are posted on our district website and discussed at our Board of Education meetings. A detailed overview of our construction projects may be accessed at this link. Please click the following video link to come inside our schools and take a closer look at the completion of our construction projects.
